Task 5 - A
The first shop that i visited to look for music magazines was Asda. The magazines shelves were disorganised and messy, with different magazines in the wrong places, but luckily, the music section was okay. There were three different shelves, which each had three sections, the middle shelf was the music shelf, which had three different sections, top, middle, and bottom, the bottom shelf was the shelf which was easiest to see, because it was in the light, etc, but the middle shelf was eye level, but quite dark/hard to see. With the way the shelves were made and laid out, you also got to see the whole magazine, not just a quarter, which meant that the whole front cover could be seen, so advertisements, imagery and such were easily noticed.
As you can see, there are three different shelves, and with this, they are divided into three, NME and ROCKSOUND are featured in the middle, Where as Hammer and Kerrang!
With this, the audience are immediately able to see key things, such as who is featured on the magazine, anything which comes free such as CD's and Posters, which 3 of these magazines do, being kerrang!, hammer, and Classic Rock. As shown below -
